Okay, I'm assuming that he's kind of from the twilight princess universe? It's a LOVELY character design, I love the little details on the boots, and the hair covering one eye.

There's a few things to watch out for~ Unless you're attempting extreme perspective here, which I dont think you are, the legs are a good deal too short. Think of it this way - you're longer from your feet to your waist than you are from your waist to the top of your head! So keep that in mind, and a good way to avoid little accidents like short legs is to work on your drawings from the ground up, roughly measuring things out as you go. A reference pic will also help <3
The feet are a bit small. Generally, a persons feet are roughly the same size as their heads, as hard as that might be to believe.
His head and torso work well together, they're pretty much in proportion in relation to eachother, just not the legs, so damn good job on that! The hands are nice too. A little practice wil make perfect, but you're doing very well so far!

The lineart seems a bit shaky in places, but I can really see that you sent a LOT of time and effort on that! Sometimes going TOO slow can cause every minute wobble in your hand to register in your picture, you gotta find a nice, comfortable pace <3 I like how you varied up the flow of the lines on the garments, they drape so nicely around the body, and you can almost feel the different materials through your use of line! However, I think his hair wasn't quite as sucessful. The lines look a bit rushed, and the placement of the lines look as though you were uncertain or unsure of how his hair should fall. Fewer, gentler strokes will really show the softer texture that hair should have, especially in contrast to the fabrics!

Perhaps next time, try a little shading. It doesnt have to be a super elaborate lightsource, just pretend that the light is coming from the right side of the page, and darken areas accordingly. You seem to be really good with coloring pencils, the strokes are going mostly in the same direction, which is excellent.
Overall, fantastic effort, and it really paid off! This is a great picture~ :hug:

Thank you so much!
Actually, Vaati is from Minish Cap, the Game Boy Advanced game...I was bored ^^;
I'm glad that you cared enough to say anything it makes my giddy.
Yeah, no matter how many times I tried to redo his legs they were too short. Because technically, in the game he's a child I didn't want to give him adult proportions (I usually draw teenagers or adults
I'm not good with pens, the whole concept of ';permanent' does me in.
You can tell about the hair? God...are you psychic? Thanks on the clothes, I've been really working on the way I've drawn wrinkles 'cause I always feel like they look unnatural.
Thankies for compliments on the shoes, in the game you can't see anything below his waist (you know the old Pokemon style of game) so I took my creative liberty.
Thanks!!!!!!!!

Ah I see, I see! I never actually played the Minish cap, but I always found it hilarious that I live five minutes from a place called Minish xD
Haha of course I care :hug:

Ahhhh, that makes sense! Kids usually have a pretty big head and a short enough torso :heart: I always draw teenager and adults myself, so I know exactly what you mean! If I try to draw a kid and an adult in the same picture, the kid always looks like an alien xDDD

yeah, the permanent thing terrifies me too! Lol I'm far from psychic, but when someone is as good at clothes as you, it's easy to tell when you're uncertain about something else xD Another place you usually see this uncertainty with artists is usually hands, but you're pretty darn good at those too! xDD

:glomp: Anytime!!
